How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Added Account Security

  • 1

Adding Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to your DoHost Account helps protect your account with an extra layer of security. Follow these steps to enable 2FA.

1. Access Security Settings

  • Log into your DoHost Client Area.
  • In the top right corner, click on Hello, [Your Name]! and select Security Settings from the dropdown menu.

2. Enable 2FA

  • Under Security Settings, click Click here to Enable to start setting up 2FA.

3. Choose Authentication Method

Select Time-Based Tokens as your authentication method and click Get Started.

4. Set Up Your Authenticator App

  • Open a compatible authenticator app on your mobile device, such as Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile.
  • Scan the QR code displayed on your screen with the authenticator app.

5. Enter Verification Code

  • The authenticator app will generate a 6-digit code. Enter this code into the provided field in the DoHost Client Area and click Submit.

6. Save Your Backup Code

  • Once verified, a Backup Code will be displayed. Record this code in a secure place—this code can be used to access your account if you lose access to your authenticator app.

7. Complete Setup

  • Click Close to finalize the 2FA setup. Your account is now protected by two-factor authentication.

Note: Enabling 2FA enhances account security by requiring both your password and a time-sensitive code to log in. Be sure to keep your backup code safe!
